Centered Riding International Symposium
“Centered and Beyond”
Nov. 6,7,8 2015
Equestrian Centre "De Nieuwe Heuvel"
We are proud to present the plans for the CR 2015 International Symposium!
As riders and as instructors, we need to go beyond Centered Riding, and study didactics, training ethics and physiology, gaits, horse behaviour, training approaches, saddle fitting and so on. Therefore, the program of the 2015 International Centered Riding Symposium offers Centered Riding and ‘beyond’. Not to take people into a higher level of a certain discipline, but rather to widen and deepen their knowledge and experience as riders and teachers. Because we will offer 3 lectures/workshops/demo’s parallel to each other in our programming, the participants can ‘shop around’ and visit those items that they feel most interested in.
The program is a mix of serious lectures, demo’s and entertaining items.
We will see CR Instructors teach Dressage riders, Alice Naber (international eventing champion) will give a spectacular eventing demo and will be taught by a CR instructor in a public lesson. Judy Cross will teach 2 riders the CR basics in the “Journey into the horses world”. We will see a lesson to children to explain how to teach CR to kids. Susan Harris and Peggy Brown will demonstrate the biomechanics of horse and rider and the use of the CR basics in their visible horse/visible rider lectures and demo. Sonja Waggershausen from Germany (CR level III) will give a clinic about gaited horses.
The German Hofreitschule Buckeburg (http://www.hofreitschule.de) will give a baroque equitation show on saturday evening. Stud farm De Nieuwe Heuvel will show their most popular Frisian and warmblood breeding stallions. Marius Schneider from Germany will present work in hand and riding up to high school exercises, and much more! See the detailed program below:
